On 14 December 2009 IEL Director Professor Martin Trybus addressed the Conference of the Czech Defence Industries in Prague.
The conference dealt with the implcations of the "defence package" of two new EU Directives on (1) defence procurement and (2) intra-Community transfers of armaments which entered into force in 2009. Other speakers hailed from the EU Commission and the European Defence Agency.
